The answer is, it is NOT possible. The only way to grow a successful small business is to have reliable help and to delegate effectively. When you create leaders on your team, they will allow you to focus on growth, while they take care of items that they excel at, and you don’t. IF you take care of your team, they will also take care of your clients. It is a two-sided relationship and it is the secret to owning a successful small business. No business is possible to grow, manage and operate alone.
I started my business in 2014 with one full-time employee. As my company grew and I hired more employees, the most surprising hire was a personal assistant. Yes, it was an expense that I could not necessarily afford at the time. However, by freeing myself of the tasks that ate up my time and energy, I was able to focus more on my clients, sales and growing my company. After some time, my revenue INCREASED significantly. Having a personal assistant was an expense up front, but it eventually showed me how beneficial that expense was.
To clarify, I made MORE money by paying a personal assistant to help me. For many years, this was my missing puzzle piece.
